    Residential Trips

    Based on trips that have previously run, below are the school trips that we offer at JKHS. All of these trips are residentials, and so have a greater cost to students, and all have limited places available.

    Reward Trips

    In addition to the trips above, each year group is offered a reward trip at the end of the academic year. These have previously included a visit to a theme park in Year 10, a visit to Croft Farm water park in Year 9 and visits to more local attractions in Years 7 & 8.

    Curriculum enrichment visits

    A number of subjects also offer curriculum enrichment one-day visits during the year. Some of the previous visits that have run are shown below. Again, places on these visits are often limited and there is a small charge involved.

    Required Field Study trips

    Biology, Geography and Geology all run one week field study residentials in Year 12. These are a required component of the A-level course.

    Duke of Edinburgh Award

    In Years 9 and above students are offered the opportunity to follow the Duke of Edinburgh award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
