Unfortunately when a child reaches sixth form, they are no longer entitled to free school transport. If you were a previous traveller on Herefordshire Council transport and wish to continue using this service whilst at JKHS sixth form, please ensure you apply for your seat in plenty of time via Herefordshire Council, however the seat is chargeable. The full cost for 2023-24 is £960 per post 16 traveller.

If you do not live in an area where the school transport will serve your address, there are other bus transport options.

Forest of Dean If you live in the Forest of Dean, the school currently operate four bus services in and out of school each day, which are run via the bus operator Grindles Coaches Limited. Charges for these buses are to be made directly to the school. We operate an application process, that is administered by the school. You are only able to purchase a seat for the full week/full year. Unfortunately we cannot operate similar to a service bus. The routes are:

• JKH18: Bream, Coleford, Worrall Hill and Lydbrook
• JKH19: Cinderford, Drybrook and Plump Hill
• JKH20: Mitcheldean, Drybrook and Joys Green
• JKH25: Cinderford and Parkend

A full priced seat for 2023-24 is £960, per child.

Much Birch/Little Dewchurch If you live surrounding this area, the school operates two minibuses in and out of school each day. We operate an application process, that is administered by the school. You are only able to purchase a seat for the full week/full year. Unfortunately we cannot operate similar to a service bus.

There are also several service buses that drop off and collect from the front of the school bus bay, each day. Payments for these services must be made directly with the bus operator. The services are:

• 32 Stagecoach West: Gloucester to Ross via Newent and Gorsley
• 33 Stagecoach West: Gloucester to Ross via Huntley, Lea and Weston
• 33 Stagecoach West: Hereford to Ross
• 34 Nick Maddy Coaches: Monmouth to Ross
• 844 Nick Maddy Coaches: Old Gore to Ross, via How Caple and Hoarwithy.
