The school catering is out-sourced at John Kyrle to a national company called Alliance in Partnership. The kitchen also provides meals to several primary schools in the area.

Our General Manager who oversees the kitchen is Katie Ward. She works closely with the school and students, especially in respect of dietary requirements and food choices. Please note we operate a nut-free kitchen environment and request that students refrain from bringing nuts into school, due to students within our school who have a nut allergy.

The canteen operate a three-week rotation menu for the main hot speciality dishes. There is always the staple offer of jacket potatoes, pasta or baguettes if your child would prefer these. Please see the current term menu offer below. Included with the menu is a separate document detailing the prices of items, to help you and your child budget accordingly. There are meal deals also on offer, these are:

  • main meal & cake = £2.50
  • baguette & cake = £2.50


Students can access food at the following times:

  • Breakfast club for all year groups - 08:00 to 08:40
  • Break for all year groups - 11:15 to 11:40
  • Lunch for Yrs 7, 9, 11 - 12:40 to 13:25
  • Lunch for Yrs 8, 10, VI - 13:40 to 14:25
