At John Kyrle High School, we consider our school uniform to be an important part of our identity and ethos. Wearing uniform helps to create a strong sense of belonging and community, giving students pride in our school and fostering a shared identity both within school and in the wider community. It also sets a positive tone for learning and helps to minimise visible differences between students. 

Our uniform is a badge of pride and a signal that we are part of a community which has shared values and understands we all take responsibility for upholding our values of being Ready, Respectful and Resilient.  Wearing our uniform demonstrates respect for the school, for one another, and for the learning environment. We expect pupils to maintain a high standard of dress at all times, and we ask for the continued support of staff, parents and carers in upholding these expectations. 

We are committed to ensuring that our uniform remains affordable. In line with statutory guidance on the cost of school uniforms, John Kyrle High School regularly reviews its uniform requirements and believes them to be reasonable and accessible. However, if you have any concerns about meeting the cost of your child’s uniform, please do not hesitate to contact us at admin@jkhs.org.uk, and we will do our best to offer support.
